The Nakiri is the Japanese vegetable knife. As such, it is extremely versatile and suitable for tasks such as slicing, dicing, or chopping. Its shape is somewhat reminiscent of a cleaver, but it should not be confused with one. A Nakiri is not suitable for heavy-duty tasks (e.g., cutting through bones). The very sharp and finely ground blade is much better suited for processing vegetables, herbs, and fruit very quickly and with great precision. The hollow grind (small indentations in the blade that create tiny air pockets while cutting) of the knife also prevents ingredients from sticking to the blade.
Thanks to the chosen blade material, this knife is not prone to chipping at the edge. The special synthetic handle is securely riveted, making it hygienic and easy to care for.
