Product description

The rolling sharpener from the Horl family has convinced us—it is easy to use and delivers excellent results. For us sharpening enthusiasts, Horl also offers the corundum grinding wheels in the accessory range. With these, you can achieve the sharpness we desire for high-quality knives.

The Horl 2 Rolling Sharpener is the latest development from the Horl rolling sharpener family. The main advantage of the rolling sharpener is the consistent angle, making it very easy to achieve uniform sharpness.

  • Sharpening guide with 2 different sharpening angles (15°/20°)
  • Diamond grinding wheel (grit size 46 μm)
  • Ceramic honing wheel
  • Interchangeable grinding wheels
  • Professional knife sharpening—made easy
  • Made in Germany

For first-time use, we recommend sharpening each knife until you can feel a noticeable burr on the opposite side. Then turn the knife over and repeat on the other side. This process may take a few minutes to establish the new sharpening angle. After sharpening, both sides can be finished with the honing wheel.

Horl Diamant Schleifscheibe

Horl Diamond Grinding Wheel
The industrial diamonds used are suitable for all types of blade steel, and grinding is done without water/oil using light pressure. When used properly, the diamond grinding wheel never needs to be replaced.
Thanks to the 46 μm grit, the rolling sharpener works efficiently and precisely.

Horl Keramik Abziehscheibe

Horl Ceramic Honing Wheel
To refine the blade edge after sharpening, both sides are finished using this honing wheel.

Horl Schleiflehre
Horl Sharpening Guide 15° or 20°?
For most knives, the 20° angle is chosen; for high-quality knives that are ground thin, you can also select 15°. The 20° angle provides a stable edge that stays sharp for a long time, while the 15° angle results in a finer edge that offers more sharpness.

Horl Sharpening Guide S-PAD
The neodymium magnets in the sharpening guide, combined with the S-Pad, allow for secure fixation of the knife. This makes it possible to sharpen both small and large blades that are magnetic.
