The Horl2 Pro impresses with faster results, which are clearly noticeable during the first sharpening. For us sharpening enthusiasts, Horl also offers the premium corundum grinding discs in the accessory range. With these, you achieve the sharpness we desire for high-quality knives. |
The Horl 2 Rolling Sharpener is the latest development in the Horl Rolling Sharpener family. The major advantage of the rolling sharpener is the consistent angle, making it very easy to achieve uniform sharpness.
For first-time use, we recommend sharpening each knife until you can clearly feel a burr on the opposite side. Then turn the knife over and repeat on the other side. This process may take several minutes to establish the new sharpening angle. After sharpening, both sides can be finished with the honing disc.
Horl Diamond Grinding Disc
The industrial diamonds used are suitable for all types of blade steel, and grinding is done without water/oil using light pressure. When used properly, the diamond grinding disc never needs to be replaced.
Thanks to the 46 μm grit, the rolling sharpener works efficiently and precisely.
Horl Ceramic Honing Disc
To refine the blade edge after sharpening, both sides are finished using this honing disc.
Horl Sharpening Guide 15° or 20°?
For most knives, the 20° angle is chosen; for high-quality knives with thinly ground blades, you can also select 15°. The 20° angle provides a stable edge that stays sharp for a long time, while the 15° angle results in a finer edge that offers more sharpness.
Horl Sharpening Guide S-PAD
Thanks to the neodymium magnets in the sharpening guide combined with the S-Pad, this enables secure fixation of the knife. This allows you to sharpen both small and large blades that are magnetic.
