Product description

Genuine mammoth ivory, which comes from the tusk of the mammoth, mostly sourced from Siberia (Russia).

  • Very special and noble material for knife handles
  • Very carefully & well dried
  • Great appearance due to natural coloration
  • Only selected pcs.
  • Very high density and hardness
  • 10,000 - 30,000 years old

Due to the long storage in the ground (mineral deposits), it has acquired its typical coloration.

Cracks in mammoth ivory should be filled with superglue, for example, to prevent breaking. For additional stability, we also recommend bonding a vulcanized fiber.

Mammoth ivory has very strong growth and color variations.
