Z-3 PM / CPM 3V

The Z-3 PM or CPM 3V is a corrosion-resistant powder metallurgical cold work carbon steel with an ideal toughness-to-wear resistance ratio.

Chemical composition

C: 0,8% | Cr: 7,5% | Mo: 1,3% | V: 2,8%

Our "Z-3 Steel" heat treatment recommendation:
Hardening:

• Oxidation protection required
• Hardening temperature: 1050°C - 1120°C
• Quenching medium: air or gas
• Cryogenic treatment: optional, but beneficial
• 200°C or 530°C
• Achievable hardness: 58 - 61 HRC
