Product description

We use CPM S110V from Crucible Steel for blades that require very infrequent resharpening and offer exceptionally high corrosion resistance. The greatest challenge is workability, as the extremely high alloy content is more apparent here than with any other blade steel.

The American CPM S110V is a niobium-vanadium alloyed powder metallurgy chromium steel.

Our "CPM S110V Steel" heat treatment recommendation:

Hardening:

Oxidation protection required
Hardening temperature: 1070°C - 1120°C
Quenching medium: air or gas
Cryogenic treatment: -50°C or colder
Tempering: 200°C or 530°C
Achievable hardness: 59 - 63 HRC
