ZDI INOX - raindrop damascus (Raindrop)

Stainless damascus steel from Zladinox with the "Raindrop" pattern, 150 layers.

• C: 0,68%
• Cr: 13,4%
• Mo: 0,4%
• Ni: 0,3%
• Si: 1,1%
• V: 0,1%

Heat treatment / ZDI INOX hardening

• Hardening: 1070°C (air)
• Tempering: 2 hours at 180°C
• Hardness: ~60 HRC

Etching recommendation

• Mirror polish before etching
• Etch for 3-5 minutes in 33% hydrochloric acid (acid should be approx. 60-70°C)
• Lightly polish again with fine polishing paste (e.g., Dialux Blue)
