ZDI INOX - Turkish Damascus

Multi-bar twisted damascus (Turkish damascus) by Zladinox.
This damascus features an intricate pattern, consisting of several bars of twisted (twist) damascus.

• Cr: 13,4%
• Mo: 0,4%

Heat treatment / ZDI INOX hardening

• Hardening: 1070°C (air)
• Tempering: 2 hours at 180°C
• Hardness: ~60 HRC

Etching recommendation

• Mirror polish before etching
• Etch for 3-5 minutes in 33% hydrochloric acid (acid should be approx. 60-70°C)
• Lightly polish again with fine polishing paste (e.g. Dialux Blue)
