The Shiro2 is a carbon-nickel alloy carbon steel from Japan.

  • Increased toughness compared to Shirogami (white paper steel) due to the addition of nickel
  • Outer layers significantly softer than the core layer
  • Made in Japan

  • C: 1,00%
  • Cr: 0,30%
  • Ni: 1,00%


Heat treatment / hardening Shiro2 steel

  • Hardening: 810°C oil
  • Tempering: 2 hours at 200°C
  • Hardness: ~62 HRC

 

Finish
Laser cut, rolled & annealed
