Aogami Super - Blue Paper Steel

The Aogami Super or Blue Paper Steel is a carbon-tungsten steel/carbon steel from Hitachi, Japan.

Properties

• Very high hardness
• Very high sharpness
• More robust and wear resistant than White Paper Steel
• Made in Japan

Chemical composition

• C: 1,40 - 1,50%
• Si: 0,10 - 0,20%
• Mn: 0,20 - 0,30%
• Cr: 0,30 - 0,50%
• V: 0,30 - 0,50%
• W: 2,00 - 2,50%

Heat treatment: Hardening Aogami Super:

• Hardening temperature: 810°C (fast oil)
• Tempering: 2 hours at 180°C
• Achievable hardness: 64 - 66 HRC
