Z-Tuff PM

Z-Tuff PM is a stainless powder metallurgy chromium-vanadium alloyed corrosion-resistant steel.

Chemical composition

C: 0,7% | Cr: 7,5% | Mo: 2,0% | Ni: 1,5% | V: 1,0%

Our "Z-Tuff Steel" heat treatment recommendation:

Hardening:

• Oxidation protection required
• Hardening temperature: 1040°C - 1070°C
• Quenching medium: air or gas
• Cryogenic treatment: -40°C or colder
• Tempering: 200°C or 530°C
• Achievable hardness: 60 - 62 HRC

Annealing: Hold for 2 hours at 860°C, then cool slowly.
Stress relieving: Hold for 2 hours at 650°C, then allow to cool slowly.
