Our "BladeDamast INOX steel" heat treatment recommendation:
Hardening:

• Oxidation protection required
• Hardening temperature: 1050°C - 1070°C
• Quenching medium: air / alternatively oil
• Cryo treatment: optional, but beneficial
• Tempering: 170°C - 205°C
• Achievable hardness: 59 - 62 HRC

Annealing: Hold for 2 hours at 800°C, then cool slowly

Etching recommendation

This steel can be etched with ~30% sulfuric acid or with ~33% hydrochloric acid.
Sulfuric acid works best if the blade is sanded only up to max grit 2000.
With hydrochloric acid, you can polish the blade to a high gloss beforehand for a good result. 

Depending on your preference, you can lightly polish again after etching or finish with fine sandpaper.
