• Si: 0,35%

Heat treatment / BladeDamast INOX hardening

• Hardening: 1070°C (air)
• Tempering: 2 hours at 180°C
• Hardness: ~61 HRC
  
  

Etching recommendation

This steel can be etched with ~30% sulfuric acid or ~33% hydrochloric acid.
Sulfuric acid works best if the blade is sanded only up to max grit 2000.
With hydrochloric acid, you can polish the blade to a high gloss beforehand for a good result. 

Depending on preference, you can lightly polish again after etching or finish with fine sandpaper.
