Our "BladeDamast INOX steel" heat treatment recommendation:
Hardening:

• Oxidation protection required
• Hardening temperature: 1050°C - 1070°C
• Quenching medium: air / alternatively oil
• Cryo treatment: optional, but beneficial
• Tempering: 170°C - 205°C
• Achievable hardness: 59 - 62 HRC

Annealing: Hold for 2 hours at 800°C, then cool slowly

Recommendation for etching

Etch with ~33% hydrochloric acid, after etching finish with fine sandpaper (K3000-K7000).
