Böhler M398 Microclean steel is a powder metallurgical plastic mold steel with the highest wear resistance.

• Hunting knives
• Outdoor, survival & bushcraft knives

Chemical composition:

• C: 2,7%
• Si: 0,5%
• Mn: 0,5%
• Cr: 20%
• Mo: 1%
• V: 7,20%
• W: 0,7%

Heat treatment: Hardening Böhler M398 steel:

• Hardening temperature: 1080°C
• Tempering: 2 x 2 hours at 520°C
• Stress relieving: 650°C
• Hardness: ~61 HRC
