CPM S30V

CPM S30V is a martensitic stainless powder metallurgy blade steel.

It was developed to offer the best combination of toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.
It provides a significant improvement in toughness compared to other high-alloy steels such as 440C and D2.
The corrosion resistance is equal to or better than that of 440C.

C: 1,45% | Cr: 14% | Mo: 2,5% | V: 4%

Our "CPM S30V" heat treatment recommendation:
Hardening:

• Oxidation protection required
• Hardening temperature: 1050°C - 1090°C
• Quenching medium: air or gas
• Cryogenic treatment: -50°C or colder
• Tempering: 180°C - 200°C
• Achievable hardness: 59 - 61 HRC
