Böhler M390 Microclean

Böhler M390 Microclean steel is produced using powder metallurgy. It offers extremely high wear resistance for knives that also need to be stainless.

Chemical composition

• C: 1,9%
• Si: 0,7%
• Mn: 0,3%
• Cr: 20%
• Mo: 1%
• V: 4%
• W: 0,6%

Heat treatment: Hardening Böhler M390:

• Hardening temperature: 1070°C
• Tempering: 2 x 2 hours at 200°C
• High-temperature tempering: 2 x 2 hours at 520°C
• Stress relieving: 650°C
• Hardness: ~60 HRC
